Work experience

Fluid Advertising - Account Manager – March 31, 2016, to December 28, 2018 – Bountiful, Utah

I worked on an eight-person team to manage customer needs on projects from conception to completion. I would write Statements of Work (SOWs) based on sales meetings with potential clients, bid meetings with internal resources, and relevant financial data from similar completed projects. My SOWs were specific and detailed which correctly set client expectations for the deliverables, timelines, and prices for projects. As a result, Fluid was able to increase the number of accurate bids to clients by 80%.

I worked to arrange the weekly schedules of twenty of my coworkers according to the needs of our 70+ clients’ projects. These assignments and arrangements ensured that client expectations were met and that internal teams were given assignments appropriate to their skills, talents, and weekly working schedules. I would follow up on these assignments with team members throughout the week. As a result, Fluid was able to work efficiently towards several competing deadlines on projects which grew larger in average scope by 250%.

I trained clients on how to use the content management system (CMS) of the websites we built for them. This training was comprised of an in-person meeting to present and instruct on the use of the CMS, then a written-guide covering the same material for the client to reference at their leisure. As a result, our website clients became confident in the use of a costly investment made with us and Fluid was able to reduce the amount of time spent troubleshooting simple website content issues by 70%. Additionally, this reduction in time needed to troubleshoot website issues freed up valuable time for the whole account management team to focus on more vital tasks.

I coordinated with vendors to print and deliver materials for event marketing. These materials were used by our clients to present and impress industry professionals at trade shows around the country. I coordinated the creative concepts for materials. I looked after all of the necessary details in the production process; the creation of digital proofs at correct resolutions and sizes, the print quality provided by vendors, and the timely delivery to the client. The results of my work were timely, creative, and lasting event marketing materials.

I wrote content used by clients on websites and in email marketing. This material was used largely to invite business people to networking events hosted in Utah. My content work resulted in a number of well-attended business networking events in Utah.

I wrote content used by Fluid on its own blog. This content ranged from marketing-specific instructional pieces to company culture essays. My blogs have helped Fluid maintain an active and robust website capable of instructing clients and helping new customers understand who they are working with when they partner with Fluid.

Fluid Advertising - Account Coordinator - March 31, 2015, to March 31, 2016 - Bountiful, Utah

I interned for the account management staff of Fluid Advertising and was primarily responsible for supporting more senior staff in resource management, assignment delivery, client project budgeting, and tracking, and website management. My work resulted in our account managers being able to dedicate their time on more critical tasks knowing that the minutia of their day-to-day work was being handled. After a year, I was promoted to a full-time position.
